• Jacob D. Edwards, 27, of Hillview, faces felony charges of aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery after allegedly strangling his girlfriend by choking her with his hands and throwing her to the ground, causing her to strike her head, Sunday, April 24. He also faces felony charges of unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle being a 2008 Ford Escape, trespass to a residence and criminal damage to government supported property in Carlinville on Sunday, April 24.
• Eric S. Cunningham, 38, of Gillespie, faces a felony charge of disorderly conduct after allegedly providing a false report of the crime of unlawful restraint on Wednesday, April 20.
• Michael L. Stevenson, 48, of Staunton, faces two felony charges of unlawful failure to register as a sex offender on Thursday, April 21.
• Dustin A. Chapman, 39, of Franklin, faces a felony charge of unlawful possession of cannabis on or about Jan. 18.
• Christopher L. Dickey, 39, of Belleville, faces felony charges of possession of meth and driving while license suspended on or about Feb. 18.
• Kevin C. Holman, 41, of Sawyerville, was charged with possession of ammunition without a valid FOID card on Monday, April 25.
• Ernest L. Stevenson, 34, of Staunton, was charged with aggravated assault after allegedly displaying a pistol at an individual and stating, “I’m going to kill you,” on or about Wednesday, April 27. He was also charged with criminal damage to property after allegedly puncturing the individual’s truck tires with a knife on or about Wednesday, April 27.
• David L. Clark, 29, of Jerseyville, was charged with resisting a peace officer after allegedly refusing to put his hands behind his back on or about Tuesday, April 26.
• Teresa L. Davis, 53, of Raymond, was charged with retail theft after allegedly taking tent stakes, dog treats and weed killer on or about Wednesday, April 20, in Carlinville.
• Paul S. Gregory, 71, of Virden, was cited for driving under the influence at 10:58 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, on North Dye Street at Prairie Street in Virden.
• John E. Goeken, 55, of Brighton, was ticketed for driving under the influence at 6 p.m. Friday, April 22, on Rt. 16 in Shipman Township.
• Dustin L. Schoen, 31, of Gillespie, was cited for driving under the influence at 3:34 a.m. Sunday, April 24, on I-55 southbound near mile marker 43.5 in Mt. Olive Township.
• William J. Nakoneczny, 50, of Elgin, was ticketed for driving under the influence at 10:18 a.m. Sunday, April 24, on I-55 northbound at Rt. 138 overpass in Mt. Olive Township.
