Bulldogs #14 Cayden Silvester and #8 Cole Allen celebrate after the big win 9-1 over Marquette Catholic.
On Tuesday, April 26, the SHS baseball team traveled to Litchfield. The Panthers defeated the Bulldogs 3-1.
Staunton scored a run in the 3rd inning and held a 1-0 lead until the 6th when Litchfield scored all 3 of their runs to win the game.
Preston Denney scored the only Bulldogs run and Sam Best had their only RBI. Denney, Best and Cole Sternickle each had 1 hit.
Cody Ury started and pitched 5 innings. He struck out 4, walked 2, gave up 3 hits and 2 runs. Sam Best pitched one inning. He struck out 3, walked none, gave up 2 hits and 1 run.
