Staunton had a brand new event this past weekend and it was glowing fun for all ages. The Chamber of Commerce worked closely with Mayor Craig Neuhaus to bring his vision of a Glow Ride to town. Chamber businesses were quick to sponsor the event and volunteers from multiple locations worked together to create a safe, family friendly nighttime bike ride. There were 140 riders who kicked off the inaugural year, and it was a perfect start for an event that will continue annually.
The chamber sold glow accessories and hot dogs. Free drink tickets were made available by Concordia Hall, VFW, Skeeters Pub and Bulldog Cafe. The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the businesses and non-profit organizations that sponsored the event as well as the numerous volunteers.
