Eleanora M. Vesper, 102, of Staunton and Worden, Ill., died on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Heritage Health in Staunton. Born Sept. 9, 1919, in rural Worden, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Sassenberg) Brunnworth.
She lived most of her life in Worden, later moving to Staunton. She was a lifelong, active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden, a member of its Ladies Aid Society and choir, and was an avid quilter. She was also a member of Mt. Olive Senior Citizens Nutritional Center and a volunteer at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton.
She is survived by her son, Donald (Carol) Ostrowsky of Cape Coral, Fla .; daughter, Donna Richard of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla .; grandsons, Kevin (Linda) Ostrowsky, Jeffrey (Rebecca) Ostrowsky of Cape Coral, Fla .; great-grandchildren, Marcy (Michael) Anderson of Minneola, Fla., Kaity (Manuel) Lima of Orlando, Fla., Michael Ostrowsky of Cape Coral, Fla .; great-great -grandson, Logan Anderson; also a niece, Cynthia (Robert) Steinmeyer of Worden; and a nephew, Richard (Vicky) Brunnworth of Colorado Springs, Colo. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, Tony Ostrowsky, Glen Vesper, John Schiber; and six siblings.
Friends may call from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden. Memorial services will follow on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Heath Curtis officiating. Interment will be in Worden Lutheran Cemetery in Worden.
