The Macoupin County Historical Society will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, April 4, at 7 p.m. in the Ruyle Building on the historical grounds in Carlinville.
The speaker for this month's program is David Finnigan who will be sharing about "Governor John M. Palmer and the New Illinois Statehouse." This presentation will explore the legacy of Gen. Palmer and other Civil War officers who worked in the New State Capital in the decades immediately following the war.
The Ruyle Building is handicapped accessible and the meeting is open to the public....
