Sam is the son of Greg and Sarah Best. At S.H.S., Sam is the president of the National Honor Society and the Student Council treasurer. Sam participated in football all four years and was named a captain in his junior and senior years. He was also on the baseball, basketball, and golf teams. Sam made the S.H.S. honor roll all four years of high school. He was also an Illinois State Scholar.
Sam plans to attend the University of Missouri to pursue a career in Journalism....
