Alfrieda Mary Bolin, 83, of Staunton, Ill., originally of Livingston, died on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022, at the Hillsboro Rehab & Health Care Center in Hillsboro. She was born on Tuesday, March 22, 1938, in Livingston, the daughter of the late Oscar and JoAnna (Struckel) Langer.
Frieda was a self-employed beautician and also a waitress at local restaurants. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livingston where she also participated in the Holy Cross Choir and the Ladies Aid Society. Frieda was also a member of the New Douglas Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Venanzi) Pearson; two grandchildren, David Capper and Amber (Pearson) Trualicka, her husband Tim; great-grandchildren, Dylan Pearson, Zaydan Pearson, Haylo Pearson, and Carter Truhlicka; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Frieda was preceded in death by two husbands, Joseph Venanzi and Rex Bolin; brothers, Frank Seljack and her twin brother, Alfred Langer; sisters, Josephine, Frances, and Madeline; uncles, Frank and Martin Struckel; and nephew, Dennis.
It was Frieda's desire and that of her family that her body be cremated. A graveside committal service and interment of her cremains will be held on Friday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton with Rev. Dr. Darwin Schrader officiating.
