Highlander

James Franklin "Bulldog" Highlander, 55, of rural Staunton, Ill., died on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, at his residence. He was born on Nov. 24, 1966, in Lynwood, Calif. He was the son of Dianna (Dillon) Schweppe and the late Norman Highlander.

Jim worked as an over-the-road truck driver and was employed by T.D.S Trucking in Staunton.

Jim is survived by his mother, Dianna Schweppe; daughters, Dianna Highlander, Brittany Schneck; granddaughters, Hazel Highlander, Allison Hawkins; brother, Norman (Kaye) Highlander; sister, Dana Allen (fiancé Kevin Beard); stepdaughter, Alexandria VanHooser; stepmother, Mary Beth Highlander; stepsisters, Deana (Bill) Lovsey, Nina (Harold) Bartolis; and Amy Moody. He was preceded in death by his father; his stepfather, John R. Harrison; a stepbrother, Bubby Harrison; stepsister, Debbie Litviak; and Jim's lifelong companion, Jonnie "Crickett" Clemons.

A visitation service was held on Sunday, Dec. 26, at Lesicko Funeral Home in Livingston with a musical service by his daughter, Dianna. Burial was in the Salem Cemetery near Alhambra.
