James Tiburzi, 70, of Staunton, Ill., died at Community Hospital of Staunton on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021. He was born Dec. 22, 1950, in Litchfield, to Americus "Mac" and Helen (Biscan) Tiburzi. He married Patricia Clark, and she survives.
He was a speech therapist for Community Unit School District 7. James was a member of the Air National Guard. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing cards and watching his grandkids play sports.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Tiburzi of Staunton; son, Dr. Craig (Michelle) Tiburzi of Carlinville; daughter, Tara (Chad) Blankenship of Destin, Fla .; bonus daughter, Heather; grandchildren, Ayden Tiburzi of Carlinville, Isabella Tiburzi of Carlinville, Ava Blankenship, Reese Blankenship, Emma Blankenship; sisters, Karen (Tom) Tallman of Springfield, Joan (Michael) Blair of Big Rock, Jill (Rob) Hills of Williamsville; and mother-in-law, Flo Clark of Gillespie. James was preceded in death by his parents.
