Looking Back

This week's Looking Back photo is the Livingston School built in 1907 and later enlarged in 1912. Problems with overcrowding in 1916 and 1917 caused the school to operate on half days. More attendance problems followed in 1918, with a smallpox outbreak that resulted in every adult and child being vaccinated and the Spanish influenza epidemic, which caused the school to be closed for two months.
