I watched the small feather making its way in slow motion as it came to land on the other side of the road. In its descent, it lay softly in the wind currents, neither struggling for or against them and floating so freely riding the breeze to its last destination. This, I thought, is the picture of a true faith-life, as one lives and moves and has their being in the will of God. This is the soul glory of those who live out their Christianity, caught up in wonder of being carried by the winds of God.
I am glad I took the time to see theology in a feather moving softly through the sky. It is no small thing to see a sermon in slow motion. God Bless.
