Andrew Patrick Dennis Heinemeier, 68, of Bunker Hill, Ill., died June 29, 2023, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He was born in Jerseyville on April 14, 1955, to John and Lela (Roman) Heinemeier. Andy married Ria Norton, on April 1, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nev., and they were married for 31 years. Andy and Ria were hosts for foreign exchange student, Jana Geerhardt, who they “adopted” as their own. Avery Cooper, 80, of Gillespie, Ill., died at his residence on June 28, 2023. He was born May 24, 1943, in St. Louis, Mo. He was a retired master sergeant from the U.S. Army after having served from 1961-1989. He loved dogs, fishing, golfing and sailing. Eleanor June Dubetz, 93, of Benld, Ill., died at Calhoun Nursing & Rehab Center on Monday, June 19, 2023. She was born March 19, 1930, in Mt. Olive to Michael Sr. and Eleanor (Hefner) Jatcko. Ruth Marie Gillespie, 100, of Shipman, Ill., fought a heroic battle to the end of 100 years. She died peacefully on June 23, 2023. Ruth was was born on March 8, 1923, the daughter of Sidney William and Marjory (Leak) Reno. Marjory died following childbirth. Sidney married Genevia Leak who soon became the mother Ruth would know and love. On Aug. 24, 1940, Ruth married Lloyd Gillespie. He preceded her in death in 1988. Howard A. Reising, 70, of Hamel, Ill., died Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh. He was born on May 22, 1953, in Staunton, the son of Herman and Anna (Rode) Reising. Howard grew up two miles east of Hamel on Hoxey Road and has lived in Hamel most of his life. Joseph Bradford "Brad" Bahn, 71, died on May 20, 2023, at Gilbert Mercy Hospital in Gilbert, Ariz. Born in St. Louis, Mo., on Feb. 9, 1952, and raised in Staunton, Ill., he was the son of the late Joseph and Sharon Bahn. Brad attended St Michael's Parochial School and Staunton High School.
