The Prairie Youth 4-H Club will be sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. The Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the Prairietown Fireman’s Hall and only children 10-years of age and younger are allowed to participate. The library’s Easter program is scheduled for Saturday, March 23, at 10:00 a.m. The featured book is Katherine Tegen’s The Story of the Easter Bunny, the possibly true account of how a rabbit came to decorate and distribute colored eggs on Easter morning. Illustrations by Sally Anne Lamber show how a “round old couple” decorated eggs for years until their job was gradually taken over by an observant and helpful rabbit. In preparation for their annual cleanup days, the cemetery board asks that all decorations be removed from the grounds at memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. BHHS recently celebrated FFA Week. It consisted of various dress-up days such as camo day and blue and gold day. Throughout the week, there were tiny farm animals hidden all over the school that students could find in order to earn an off-campus lunch.
