With the Presidential Election just under four months away now, later this summer, state law requires the Election Office mail all registered voters a voting plan postcard. But Macoupin County Clerk Pete Duncan says that voters have options on receiving one. State law requires all voters not on the permanent vote by mail list to be mailed a postcard application to join the list if they desire to do so. The Staunton Fire Protection District takes the responsibility of providing fire and rescue services to area residents very seriously. The most important element needed to provide quality fire and rescue services is dedicated volunteer firefighters. Our community is currently protected by dedicated and committed volunteer firefighter who do their jobs when called upon. Saving lives and protecting property is not an easy task. It was a hot and humid day but the SCC women's golf league were all glad to get together after missing golf the week before. The low gross was the team of Rosemarie Pickerill and Linda Rohe.
