    Delmer Leon Jarman, 87, of Jacksonville, Ill., died Dec. 23, 2021. He was born July 21, 1934, in Sorento, to John and Lucille (Caulk) Jarman. He married Carol Bekemeyer on Feb. 12,1955, and she survives. He attended school in Sorento and graduated from Staunton High School, then continued his education at Eastern Illinois University. He was born on July 19, 1964, in Geneva, Mo., the son of Caroline (Pass) Ivey and the late Doyle L. Ivey, Sr. Donald married Barbara Boston on April 18, 1986, and she survives.     –Capitol News Illinois New estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau suggest Illinois is continuing to lose population. The latest estimates, released Tuesday, pegged the state’s population at 12,671,469 as of July 1, 2021, down by 113,776, or 0.9 percent, from the official 2020 census.
