Mt. Olive First Baptist Church at 410 West 3rd North Street in Mt. Olive is having special services for the Christmas season and New Year's. Christmas services will be on Dec. 19 at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. On Dec. 24, the Christmas Eve service will be at noon with prepackaged communion. Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White announced that expiration dates for driver’s licenses and ID cards have been extended an additional three months – from Jan. 1, 2022, to March 31, 2022. The Staunton Lady Bulldog basketball team will be competing in the Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School Winterfest Tournament Dec. 27 - 30. It is being played in a double elimination format. Teams in the tourney include: Dupo, Webber, AJ-JV and A-J (2), Elverado-ZR, Greenville, Father McGivney, Madison, Vandalia, Johnston City, Wesclin, Carbondale, CORLHS and Trico.
