Kent Thomas Tallman, 71, of New Douglas, Ill., died at his residence on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022. He was born Nov. 23, 1951, in Carlinville, to Thomas C. Tallman and Joyce L. Lancaster Tallman. He married Joeen L. Gaudio on Jan. 8, 1972, in Benld, and she survives. He was a pipe fitter, a horticulturist at Forrest Keeling Nursery, and owner of Silver Creek Vineyards and Nursery. Carol Ann (Hoog) DeClerqc, died on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at Alhambra Care Center in Alhambra, Ill. She was born on Nov. 30, 1956, to Vincent "Jock" Hoog and Glenda Dworschak in Litchfield. Carol married Emiel DeClercq on Nov. 20, 1976, and he preceded her in death. She was a 1975 graduate of Staunton High School. Mark Kevin Spudic, 66, of Mt. Olive, Ill., died at Community Hospital of Staunton on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022. Mark was born on Feb. 22, 1956, in Staunton, to William Thomas Spudic and Imogene May (Beyer) Spudic. He married Mary Frances Andrews on Jan. 6, 1979, at the Ascension Church, now St. John Paul II in Mt. Olive, and she survives. He attended Mt. Olive High School and graduated in 1974. Patrick J. Whitehead, 58, of Litchfield, Ill., died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at his residence. He was born Aug. 13, 1964, in East St. Louis, the son of the late William and Ann (Gibson) Whitehead. He married Angel Harrison on Aug. 7, 1993, in Collinsville, and she survives. He was employed as a machine operator at Kraft Foods in Granite City for many years. Patrick loved to play his guitar. She was born March 25, 1931, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of the late Werner G. and Mary (Albertini) Zinn.
