  • Madison Communications collecting donations for food pantry and toy drive

    During their Employee Appreciation Week celebration in October, the employees at Madison Communications were challenged to donate non-perishable items for the local food pantries as part of a team bonding exercise. The Madison employees collected a total of 10 milk crates and multiple boxes of food. The items were then divided evenly between the Mt. Olive Care Center and the Staunton Helping Hands Center.     The Worden Public Library was the recipient of a bequest from the estate of Robert Pieper. After much discussion, the Library Board of Trustees and staff decided that they would like to use these funds for a community project. The sidewalks in front of the library property and toward the post office were in poor condition. It was decided and voted on that this would be the perfect project.
