Randolph P. Anderson, 92, of Gillespie, Ill., died at Heritage Health of Gillespie on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022. He was born May 22, 1930, in Gillespie to Robert and Marie (Vannatta) Anderson. He married Shirley Mae Kinney on April 12, 1952, in Gillespie. She preceded him in death on Nov. 21, 2005. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was retired after having been a steelworker for Granite City Steel. Randolph was a former member of the Litchfield Moose. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Albert "Al" Glenn Loftis, Jr., 66, of Gillespie, Ill., died peacefully with his children and wife by his side on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022, at home. He was born March 28, 1956, in Granite City to Albert Sr. and Georgia (Hasty) Loftis. He married Elizabeth Tarrant on Aug. 20, 1977, in Washington Park. She survives. He was an auto detailer for Victory Lane. He enjoyed car shows, fishing, camping and being social. He was well known in the Gillespie community. Joyce D. Kalvin, 93, of Sawyerville, Ill., died at Heritage Health of Carlinville on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022. She was born July 13, 1929, in Sawyerville, to Arnold and Mary (Playton) Badstebner. She married Andrew J. Kalvin on June 30, 1949, in Benld. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2013. She was retired after having been a typesetter for Hano Business Forms. Mary Lou Fiori, 77, of Staunton, Ill., died Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at Heritage Health in Staunton. She was born Jan. 3, 1945, in Staunton, a daughter of the late Cecil and Ann (Vojas) Fiori. She was disabled. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Staunton. Graveside services will be held on Monday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton with Rev. James Alfred "Al" Crider, 91, of Alton, Ill., died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. He was born in Wood River on July 6, 1931, a son of James W. Crider and Zelma Hogel Crider Rockefeller. He was a painter, carpenter, and a musician, playing music locally for years with brothers Jack and Gary. The Staunton boys' soccer team ended its regular season with two losses this week against SCC opponent Carlinville and former SCC opponent Roxana on Senior Night.
