The Gillespie Minor Soccer Association and the Coal Country Complex Foundation have planned their 17th Annual Trivia Night and Silent Auction to be held on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Benld Civic Center located at 201 East Central Avenue in Benld - across from FEMA’s. The Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts (AOIC) announced today it was awarded a $2.5 million grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance as part of the Adult Treatment Court (ATC), Category 3, Statewide Discretionary Grant Program. The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has endorsed the recommendation by the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for the newly FDA-approved vaccine for RSV that can be administered during weeks 32 to 36 of pregnancy to protect babies from the virus.
