    Governor JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) announced on Friday the recipients for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for Public Infrastructure and Housing Rehabilitation. A total of $56.9 million will be awarded for 54 projects, which will support housing rehabilitation projects and enable communities in non-metropolitan areas to make critical repairs to water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure to enhance safety and quality of life for residents.     Over 300 students from throughout the college’s district applied for scholarships for the 2023-24 academic year. These scholarships provide opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, levels of academic achievment and career paths.
