    A breakfast program is available at all district attendance centers. Students will be able to purchase breakfast from 7:30-8:00 am. K-8th grade is a closed campus during lunch period. This policy is a safeguard for students. Free and reduced lunch and breakfast applications are available in the school office. It is required that new applications be completed each school year to determine eligibility. Completed applications should be returned to the elementary or high school office.     1. Stay in your car. If your child needs assistance getting into the vehicle, please park. 2. Do not walk up to the door or wave your child to the vehicle. The teachers on duty will get your child to your car when they deem it is safe. 3. If your child must enter the vehicle on the driver side you are encouraged to consider parking.     A parent/guardian and player meeting will be held on Thursday, Aug. 3, and Tuesday, Aug. 15. Both meetings begin at 6 p.m. in the multi-purpose gym. If you would like to play in a sport, you must attend one of the meetings. The meetings are open to any athlete entering grades 6-12.     Blackburn College has received a gift of 40 acres of farmland located east of the College’s campus in Carlinville. The property, known to locals as “Rock’s Patch,” was initially owned by John D. “Rock” Rossetti.     The rainy weather last week approached quickly during the middle of the game at the SCC. Those caught in the storm made it safely to the club house.     Children going into pre-K, K, 6th, 9th, or 12th grades have medical requirements that must be met in Illinois. Also students in 6th-12th grades that play sports require a physical.
