Phyllis (nee Smith) Pollo, 89, formerly of Benld, Ill., died at Heritage Health in Litchfield on Thursday, June 23. Phyllis was born in Mill Spring, Mo., on Jan. 13, 1933, a daughter of the late Edward and Mabel (Price) Smith. She married Joseph Pollo on June 26, 1954, in Staunton. He preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Brian (Kathy) Pollo of Mt. James "Jim" L. Dumont, 91, of Maryville, Ill., passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Northwestern McHenry Hospital in McHenry. Jim was born on June 6, 1931, in Litchfield, a son of the late Joe and Jennie (Perrone) Dumont. Jim was a United States Air Force veteran who proudly served his country. Brian J. Kuethe, 61, of Sterling, Okla., died Monday, June 21, 2022. He was born on Aug. 21, 1960, in Litchfield, Ill. Brian was the son of the late Kenneth and Shirley (Grange) Kuethe. Brian was an associate at Walmart in Lawton, Okla., and worked as a plumber in the Staunton, Ill., area before moving to Oklahoma. He graduated from Staunton High School in 1979, then Ranken Technical School in 1981. Brian was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton. It was an extremely hot day on Thursday, June 16, but we had some good golfing. The low gross was the team of Rosemarie Pickerill and Sue Stiegemeier and the low net was the team of Deb McNaughton and Martha Riley. The two teams tied for low putts.
