Charles G. "Chuck" Hubert, 81, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, died at his home on Thursday, June 1, 2022. He was born on May 6, 1941, to Charles G. and Sue (Suchko) Hubert. He married Nancy Brown on Feb. 4, 1961. She preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Benld High School, Class of 1959. The federal program that has allowed school districts across the country to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students regard- less of income will expire on June 30. Since 2020, this program has eliminated the need to collect payments for school meals for any student. An open house at Bremer Sanctuary will take place on Sunday, June 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. The education barn and meeting hall will be open for tours.
