  • Community Hospital of Staunton donates to Adopt-A-Pet

    The employees at Community Hospital of Staunton had a fundraiser benefitting Adopt-A-Pet shelter during Hospital Week. Administration said they would take a pie to the face if employees donated a total of 1,000 pounds of dog food and kitty litter. The group raised just over that amount and concluded hospital week with administrators good naturedly taking a pie to the face.     On May 13, the Staunton Baseball Softball League (SBSL) dedicated new scoreboards on Field 1 and Field 2 at Staunton Baseball Park during the annual opening day ceremony. The scoreboards are LED lit and can be operated with wireless controllers which can be checked out by coaches or any parent scorekeeper at the concession stand during any baseball or softball game played on these fields. On May 15 the Lady Bulldogs defeated the Greenville Comets 15-0. The Rolling Thunder “Ride the Rally” opens this Friday, May 26, at Concordia Hall in Staunton.     Meagan Colley, a 2014 graduate of Staunton High School, was recently recognized for her talent as an artist as a published illustrator for a children’s book called “Two Childhoods - Ollie Explains.” The book was written by Dr Susan Krechel.
