    A new Dollar General has opened at 1537 State Route 4 on the north edge of Staunton. The first day they served customers was on Saturday, Feb. 12. Kathy Harris of Livings- ton is the store manager. This new store is in addition to the existing Dollar General store at 726 E. Main Street and should eliminate some of the pressure on the original store. The Staunton City Council approved a resolution at the meeting on Monday night appointing Brad Miller, who is the current code enforcement officer, to be zoning administrator/code enforcement officer at the pay rate of $18 per hour.
