Clinton M. Spickerman, 94, of Bunker Hill, Ill., died at his residence on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022. He was born April 15, 1927, in Bunker Hill, to Edgar and Clara (Smith) Spickerman. He married Ethel Oriene Partridge on Aug. 23, 1948. She preceded him in death in 2006. He was self employed in the Bunker Hill area working with electricity, heating and air. Loralee F. Sciranko, 87, of Gillespie, Ill., died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022. She was born July 26, 1934, in Harvel, a daughter of the late James W. and Mary Eileen (Floyd) Pickerill. She married Andrew “Duce” Sciranko Jr. on July 25, 1953, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livingston, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 2009. She was a homemaker. Robert Lee Koniak, 88, of Sawyerville, Ill., died at Hillsboro Rehab & Health Care, Hillsboro, on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022. He was born March 18, 1933, in Benld, to Paul and Mary (Bella) Koniak. He married Patricia H. Fenwick on Jan. 13, 1957, in Mt. Olive, and she survives. He was retired after having been an inspector for McDonnell Douglas. He enjoyed John Deere tractors and classic cars. Donald Gene Clark, 83, of Crestwood, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Town and Country, Mo. Born Jan. 18, 1939, in Wood River, Ill., he was the son of Raymond and Bonnie Marie (Tilton) Clark. On Dec. 22, 1974, in St. Louis, he married Faye Langley of Staunton. She survives. Raymond and Dorothy Arzig Stoddard of Mt. Olive celebrated their 70th anniversary on Jan. 12, 2022. The couple was married on Jan. 12, 1952, at the home of Eugene “Jeep” and Dolores “Pete” Niehaus of rural Litchfield by Rev. Karl Heuchert. Raymond then served in the United States Army from 1952 until 1954. His military service included a tour of duty in Korea. The Illinois Sheriff’ Association announces that it will award over $58,000 in college scholarships throughout the State of Illinois to students wishing to pursue higher education during the 2022-23 academic year. The scholarships are to be applied to tuition, books and fees only.
