As has been a long-standing tradition, many generous people banded together to make sure that the holiday spirit was alive and well in the Livingston and Williamson community. In St. Louis County, on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, the Illinois State Police located a deceased woman who has been identified as Marquisha Williams, 29, of the first block of Mohan Drive in Florissant, Mo. Law enforcement reported numerous searches for Ms. Williams had been conducted over the last several days. Phillip Jeremy Fowler, 45, of Ottawa, Ill., passed away at OSF Health Center in Alton, on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023. He was born on Aug. 7, 1978, in Alton the son of James E. Fowler and Kathy (Nodine) Fowler. Phillip married his wife, Kristi Hunt on June 14, 1997, in Alton and he is survived by his wife. He served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps and he was the Harbormaster at Heritage Harbor Marina in Ottawa. On Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, Staunton's Band Boosters will be hosting a Trivia Night at Concordia Hall in Staunton. The inspiration in doing so is for all the proceeds from this event will go to support the Staunton Band program grades 5-12.
